Please do not attach your backup file or an export unless you are asked to. They contain serial numbers and purchase prices.

It helps to mention

  • the app version (More → About)
  • your phone model and Android version
  • what you did, what you expected and what happened instead

What support cannot do

  • See or recover your catalogue. It exists only on your phone; there is no server copy.
  • Tell you what your belongings are worth, or what an insurer will accept.

Questions

Short answers

The same answers are in the app under More → How it works, and a description of where your data lives under More → Your data.

Will the app remind me?

It sends no notifications. Dates that are due soon or overdue appear on the attention list on the Home tab, in the Calendar and as a number on the Calendar tab. In the settings you choose how far ahead “due soon” looks.

How is the end of a warranty worked out?

The purchase date plus the warranty length in calendar months. A fridge-freezer bought on 28.10.2024 with 24 months is covered until 28.10.2026. If the end month is shorter, the last day of that month is used.

Are the totals what my things are worth?

No. They are the sum of the prices you paid and typed in. The app does not estimate current value or depreciation, and the figures are not an appraisal or an insurance valuation.

How do I move to a new phone?

Create a backup file under Export & backup, copy it to the new phone and restore it there. Add photos and documents again on the new phone: they are not included in the file. Android’s own backup and phone-to-phone transfer do not carry the catalogue across.

What does a stocktake change?

Nothing until you finish it. Then items found elsewhere get their new room, the conditions you noted are saved and items you could not find are flagged “Not found”. Items you did not check stay as they were. The result stays on record.

I sold something. Should I delete it?

Use “I no longer own this” on the item. It leaves the totals but stays in your purchase history. Delete only what was entered by mistake.

What is the difference between a category, a tag and a list?

Each item has one category (what it is) and any number of tags (your own labels). A list is a selection of items for a job such as a move, with a tick box per item and its own export.
